I was born in Niedersachsen of German, Baltic-German, and Estonian ancestry.

    Hobbies: I have been singing in the Choirs of Trinity Church in Boston since 2000. Earlier I sang for several years with the Dedham Choral Society. I have been involved in choral music since 1974, with much of the formative time spent with the Berliner Konzert Chor, and I have sung in Czech, English, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Russian, Slavonic, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Zulu, under Jonathan Barnhart, Donald Caldwell, Andrew Clark, William Hall, Walter Herbig, Brian Jones, Michael Kleinschmidt, John Rutter, Murray Sidlin, Paul Travers, Richard Webster, Fritz Weisse, John Willcocks, in Addis Abeba, Baltimore, Berlin (Philharmonie, Staatliche Schauspielbühnen, countless churches), Boston (Symphony Hall, Jordan Hall, Trinity Church, Old South Church), Buenos Aires (Teatro Colon), Caracas, Curitiba/Brazil, Dedham, MA (St. Mary's Church), Jerusalem, Lima, Long Beach (Long Beach Opera), Los Angeles (Dorothy Chandler Pavillion), Medford (Goddard Chapel, Cohen Auditorium), Mexico City, Pasadena (Pasadena Civic Auditorium, Pasadena Presbyterian Church and others), Porto Alegre/Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, Santiago de Chile, São Paolo, Tel Aviv, and Washington (Kennedy Center, Wolf Trap).
